How should I clean and care for your outdoor clothing?

Our outdoor clothing is made from fabrics that are easy to clean and care for, but the right routine is what keeps performance intact.

General guidance:

  • Read the care label first. Every style carries specific wash and temperature instructions that take priority over any general rule.
  • Wash separately and close fastenings. Zip zips, close hook-and-loop and empty pockets before washing to avoid abrasion and snagging.
  • Use technical detergent. Ordinary powder detergents, fabric softener and bleach can strip the durable water repellent finish and clog breathable membranes.
  • Machine wash gently at low temperature, then tumble dry low or line dry out of direct sunlight.
  • Reactivate the water repellent finish with a low tumble dry or a cool iron if water stops beading on the surface. Re-proofing sprays can be applied when needed.
  • Avoid dry cleaning on laminated waterproof garments unless the label allows it.

Caring for garments properly extends their working life, keeps waterproof and breathable performance functioning, and protects the seams and DWR treatment doing the real technical work. If you are a buyer or brand, we can supply care instruction artwork in your own language for your labels.
